A HARD DAYS NIGHT.
This film was shot in black and white, 'A hard days night' didn't test the Beatles acting abilities, given the lightweight story line, written by TV veteran Alum Owen about a group venturing to the ' big city ' to appear on a TV variety show.
Ringo Starr was
the only one allowed any creative freedom. Some talented British actors
appeared in the cameo roles, but it was the musical content that stood
out and the quirky direction of the film proved to be an ideal foil for
the bands' talents.
HELP.
This was the
2nd film for the Beatles. The film had an outrageous plot, religious fanatics
hot on the groups heels, who have come into possession of a magical ring,
this film again contained the best of British comedy actors in character
roles.
Both these films have albums of the same name.
